Leszek Sykulski – PhD in political sciences, historian, university teacher.

He works as an assistant professor in the Department of National Security at the University of Business and Entrepreneurship in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski.

He graduated from Jagiellonian University in Cracow, Silesian University in Katowice and National Defence University in Warsaw. He graduated also from General Kosciuszko Military Academy of Land Forces (reserved officers’ course; Lt.).

Court expert in the field of the state security and political extremism.

Former assistant professor in the Department of Security Studies at the Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa. He was also a lecturer at National Defence University in Warsaw and Polonia University in Częstochowa. In 2015 was a visiting professor at Saint Jerome University in Douala (Cameroon).

He worked as an international security analyst in the Office of the President of Poland during Lech Kaczyński’s presidency.

The founder of the Polish Geopolitical Society (in 2008-2009, 2012-2014 – president, now – honorary president and spokesman), “Geopolitical Review” quarterly (in 2009-2016 – editor-in-chief) and Geopolityka.net internet portal (editor-in-chief).

President of the Polish Geostrategic Society and editor-in-chief of Polish annual “Geostrategy”.

Author of several publications about geopolitics, geostrategy and international security.

Main research areas: (1) Polish and Russian geopolitical thought, (2) Russian security policy, (3) information warfare, (4) game theory in international relations research. Author of over 50 scientific publications.

Awarded with the medal “Pro Patria”.
